The advantages and applications of 321 stainless steel sheet

321 stainless steel sheet are Ni-Cr-Mo type austenitic stainless steel plates. Similar to 304 stainless steel sheet, they have better resistance to intergranular corrosion and high-temperature strength due to the addition of titanium. The titanium element in 321 stainless steel sheet exists as a stabilizing element, and it is also a heat-resistant steel type. Its performance in high-temperature conditions is superior to that of 316L stainless steel sheet.

The 321 stainless steel sheet exhibits excellent wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant properties in organic and inorganic acids of various concentrations and temperatures, especially in oxidative media. It is commonly used to manufacture wear-resistant acid containers and the linings of wear-resistant equipment, as well as transportation pipelines. Moreover, the 321 stainless steel sheet also possesses outstanding high-temperature stress rupture (Stress Rupture) performance and high-temperature creep resistance (Creep Resistance), and its mechanical properties under stress are superior to those of 304 stainless steel sheet.

Due to the addition of metallic titanium, the 321 stainless steel sheet effectively controlled the formation of chromium carbide, thereby enhancing its corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength.
